This is a guide to using the resources of the World Wide Web in the study of criminology.
Abstract
This tutorial assumes the reader has available web browsing software with a direct Internet connection, preferably Netscape Navigator 3.0 or later, or Microsoft Internet Explorer version 3.0 or later. The document assists the reader in exploring particular issues within the field of criminology by accessing specific web sites. Topics covered include: (1) getting started on the web; (2) crime statistics on the web; (3) crime causation on the web; (4) community crime prevention on the web; (5) electronic journals; (6) discussion lists; and (7) selected URLs (Uniform Resource Locators).
