Description

NIJ is seeking applications for funding under the Data Resources Program 2011 to reproduce, replicate, or extend previous findings and conduct original research using or extending data from the National Archive of Criminal Justice Data (NACJD). NACJD houses quantitative and qualitative data from NIJ-funded research and provides online access to downloadable, machine-readable (SPSS, SAS or ASCII) files, as well as data dictionaries, study abstracts, and MapInfo or ESRI geographic data. NIJ is particularly interested in NACJD data, but will consider data from other sources. Learn more by visiting the Data Resources Program website. Notice: The 2011 Data Resources Program Solicitation was to emphasize and give priority to applications proposing to use data from the Serious and Violent Offender Reentry Initiative (SVORI). However, it is not known at this time when these data, related descriptions or codebooks will be available for public use. Therefore, NIJ recommends that other NACJD data sets be used in developing 2011 Data Resource Program applications. No priority or emphasis will be given to applications proposing to use SVORI data.
