NIJ International Center Partnerships
The International Center works with federal agencies, the United Nations, governmental research institutes and other organizations that research and resolve criminal justice issues. The Center creates and serves in expert working groups which share information and provide programmatic and technical assistance to other countries.
U.S. Department of State
The International Center advises the U.S. Department of State and helps draft U.S. positions for the U.N. Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice. The International Center also sits on expert working groups as needed on behalf of the U.S. Department of State.
U.S. Deputy Attorney General
The International Center works with the U.S. Deputy Attorney General's Office on matters of international organized crime. The International Center supports the Attorney General's Organized Crime Council on research and other information to further the prosecution of international organized crime in the United States.
Memorandums of Understanding
NIJ signs Memorandums of Understanding to strengthen International Center partnerships with organizations around the globe, including Israel's Ministry of Public Security and the United Kingdom's National Policing Improvement Agency. The International Center also works closely with other organizations on a less formal basis and continues to partner with new organizations.
